Mohamed Salah Offers Statement to Squad, Says Curtis Jones
The Liverpool midfielder has disclosed that Salah apologised to the entire Liverpool squad after the fallout from his recent interview.

He was omitted from a vital match after criticising the club and claiming his rapport with Arne Slot had broken down.
“Mo is his own man and he can say his own stuff,” Jones told Sky Sports. “He said sorry to the group and was like: ‘Should anyone feel slighted, I apologise.’”
The head coach has previously declined to comment publicly on whether he got an explanation from the 33-year-old forward.
Looking Ahead
The player stated that the squad's reaction stayed normal. “Nothing about him changed, he was smiling and it was business as usual,” Jones added.
Jones also implied that a competitor wanting to play is less of an issue. “I get that there are specific approaches you can handle situations,” he said. “But if a lad’s fine to just sit out, then I think that’s more of an issue.”
On-Field Response
Liverpool's form have stayed unbeaten in the period after the initial controversy. The player is convinced the outburst were not intended to harm the team.
“When there’s been any sort of anger, it’s always been from a good place,” Jones concluded. “That chapter is closed and we’re gelling well as a team, performing and starting to win games.”
