The rising star has considerable social media following
The young golfer will have numerous prominent supporters as she begins her first LPGA appearance later this week.
This teenage golfer, who happens to be the granddaughter of a former US president, received a sponsor's invitation to play at Florida's Annika event in the Sunshine State.
The former president, someone who loves golf, possesses several international courses and frequently matches against his granddaughter.
"He's quite skilled. I can't say much but we play competitive games," she mentioned.
The golfer shared that her grandfather, who cannot attend, told her: "Just don't get nervous."
"He essentially told me to play and have fun," she continued.
"To me, he's simply a normal grandpa. He can't make it this weekend. He's focused on world affairs, making him rather occupied."
While still amateur, Kai has participated in just three tournaments recently and holds ranking 461 in the American Junior Golf Association standings.
Yet she's able to seek guidance from Tiger Woods, romantically involved with Kai's mother.
"He stands as the best player globally," Kai expressed.
"Furthermore, he's a superior human being. He advised me to compete, enjoy myself, and go with the flow."
Kai will face multiple top competitors in the sport at this tournament, featuring second-ranked the champion, British golfer Hull, Lexi Thompson and last year's winner champion Vu.
The LPGA stated that her participation exposes the sport to new audiences, specifically reaching the next generation.
The social media influencer has a massive following and just introduced an exclusive apparel and wellness brand.
The competition starts at 17:30 GMT.
