Two men have been charged following a suitcase robbery where a believed to be irritant spray caused injuries at London's Heathrow Airport.

Tyrone Richards, 31, and Anton Clarke-Butcher, 24, now face two robbery charges and two counts of administering a noxious substance, authorities have stated.

The charges follow an probe of an attack at the multi-storey car park at Terminal 3 on Sunday. Earlier that day, two female travelers had their luggage stolen after getting out of a parking garage elevator, authorities reported.

A toddler was caught up in the incident in the event. A total of five individuals went to hospital for treatment and were eventually allowed to go home.

This event – which authorities stated was not part of a series and not considered a terror-related act – resulted in train delays and the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park for a limited duration.
